What is the Contacts Feature?

The Contacts feature in MarkiT MagniT serves as a central database for all your client and lead information. It allows you to store, organize, and interact with your contacts to build strong client relationships.


Accessing Contacts

Log In: Visit https://app.blacklabeltechnology.com/ and log into your MarkiT MagniT account. Navigate to Contacts: On the left-hand menu, click on Contacts.


Key Features

1. Organized Database

Store all contact details, including name, email, phone number, and custom fields. Use tags to categorize contacts for better segmentation.

2. Search and Filter

Quickly find contacts using the search bar. Filter contacts by tags, source, or activity.

3. Bulk Actions

Send bulk emails, SMS, or add tags to multiple contacts at once.

4. Activity Timeline

View a complete history of interactions with each contact, including messages, appointments, and tasks.


Adding Contacts

Manually Adding Contacts

Go to Contacts. Click the + Add Contact button in the top-right corner. Fill out the contact’s details (e.g., name, email, phone number).Add tags or custom fields to organize your contacts. Click Save.

Importing Contacts

Click on Import Contacts. Upload a CSV file with your contact data. Map the columns in your file to the fields in MarkiT MagniT. Click Import to finalize.


Managing Contacts

Editing Contact Details

Select a contact from your list. Click Edit to update their information. Save your changes.

Assigning Tags

Tags allow you to group contacts for campaigns and organization. Select a contact or multiple contacts. Click Add Tag and choose or create a tag.

Deleting Contacts

Select the contact(s) you want to delete. Click the Delete button. Confirm the deletion.


Using Contacts for Engagement

Sending Messages

Open a contact’s profile. Click on Send SMS or Send Email. Draft your message or use a pre-made template. Click Send.

Automating Workflows

Go to Automation in the left-hand menu. Create a new workflow and set triggers (e.g., "Tag Added").Add actions like sending messages or assigning tasks. Save and activate the workflow.

Scheduling Appointments

Open a contact’s profile. Click Schedule Appointment. Select the time, date, and type of appointment. Save to confirm.


Advanced Features

Custom Fields

Create custom fields to store unique data about your contacts. Go to Settings > Custom Fields. Click + Add Field and define the field name and type.

Contact Tags and Smart Lists

Use tags to group contacts, then create Smart Lists to dynamically segment contacts based on criteria like tag, interaction history, or activity.

Tracking Contact Activity

View interaction logs, including emails sent, appointments scheduled, and tasks completed.


Best Practices

Keep Information Updated: Regularly update contact details to ensure accuracy. Use Tags: Tags make it easier to segment and target specific audiences. Review Activity Logs: Use logs to stay informed about your client relationships.


Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Duplicate Contacts: Use the Merge Contacts tool to combine duplicates. Import Errors: Ensure your CSV file is properly formatted.
